The work of the Lancet Countdown is guided by our Board, while our Risk & Scrutiny Committee oversees financial scrutiny and risk management across the programme. The Directors of each of the Lancet Countdown regional and global Centres oversee the operational delivery of and strategic integration our activities across our Global and Regional Centres . Our Academic outputs are overseen by world-leading experts in each of the five domains covered by the Lancet Countdown, as part of the Academic Steering Committee.

Directors Group

The Lancet Countdown’s Directors Group is composed of the Directors of each of the Lancet Countdown’s global and regional centres. It is responsible for overseeing strategic alignment between each of the programme’s centres, as well as across the research, communications and policy activities of the Lancet Countdown in order to maximise the programme’s impact.

Academic Steering Group

The Lancet Countdown’s Academic Steering Group sets the academic direction of the collaboration, identifying priority areas for indicator development, ensuring cohesiveness across our networks, and promoting diversity and global representation in our research strategy.
