Dr Harry Kennard is a Senior Research Associate at the Center on Global Energy Policy, Columbia University. His research examines the impacts of energy use, particularly on health in the built environment. Since 2020 he has co-led UNEP’s ‘Global Status Report for Buildings and Construction’, which tracks major decarbonization developments in the sector. He also studies the global agricultural system, focusing on emissions intensities estimates of foods. Harry’s PhD thesis (UCL) examined the relationship between energy use, experienced temperature, and health. He holds an undergraduate degree in Physics and master’s degrees in physics, applied mathematics, linguistics, and energy demand.
