Jiacan Yuan is a professor in the Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences at Fudan University. Her research interests primarily center on climate change and its impacts. She leads a research group dedicated to quantifying the physical changes in climate, exploring potential mechanisms, and projecting risks induced by future climate changes. She serves as a contributing author to the Working Group I (WGI) of the IPCC Sixth Assessment Report and as a co-author of the 2022 China Report of the Lancet Countdown on Health and Climate Change. Additionally, she serves as an associate editor for the journal “Urban Climate.”
