Dr Marina Romanello is the Executive Director of the Lancet Countdown, and climate change and health researcher at UCL. She trained as a clinical biochemist in the Universidad de Buenos Aires, and holds a PhD at the University of Cambridge. Her research has spanned from toxicology to environmental health and climate change. She previous carried out her research in the Instituto Tecnologico de Buenos Aires, the University of Cambridge, and the Francis Crick Institute. Marina led a team of researchers in developing England’s National Health Service’s Net-Zero commitments, and is a member of numerous advisory boards for health and climate change projects.
