Papa is an academic and a climate and energy economist. He earned his PhD in Finance from Ulm University, Germany. Papa’s research has focused on quantitative asset pricing, climate adaptation finance and climate risk management. Currently a Research Fellow at UCL, his work aims to enhance our understanding of the barrier dynamics of currency risks in climate investments in developing economies. He has consulted for the Asian Development Bank (ADB), taught at Fulda University of Applied Sciences, and was previously an external research associate at the Centre for Sustainability and Climate Finance, USI Lugano.
