Dr Joaquin Triñanes serves as an Associate Professor at the University of Santiago de Compostela and is the Operations Manager for the NOAA/CoastWatch Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico Regional Node, as well as for Atlantic OceanWatch. He earned his PhD in Physics, focusing on the development of a global Fisheries Information System through satellite data utilization. His research primarily explores remote sensing, oceanography, and the scalable management and analysis of data.
