Rostislav Kouznetsov graduated in theoretical physics from Moscow State University in 2000. He defended his PhD thesis on experimental studies of atmospheric boundary layer in 2007. Since 2010, he has been a member of the Atmospheric Composition Modelling group at the Finnish Meteorological Institute, working as one of the key developers for Silam atmospheric composition model.
